Kramer Sighting! California Desert Edition

It had been a while since we had had a Kramer sighting, but lo and behold, we had one in the Mojave Desert!

we were driving north from Joshua Tree National Park to Boron, CA (more on that later), when we came upon a sight that said we were only 7 miles away form Kramer Junction.  An entire Junction dedicated to our second favorite family (Sorry, you lost out to the Holy Family, but you can try again  next year!)?  What could we expect to see there?  A naval installation?  The Oklahoma Expatriate Museum?  Something related to the Oklahoma Sooners?  A tornado perhaps?  We wew really close!  And Los Ángeles is three hours away, and the whole Coachella Valley and and the Inland Empire is right over those hills!

What's that you say?  Were in the middle of the desert?  There's not much out here?  That that is the reason Edwards Air Force Base is out here, because of the lack of people?  Well, I think I am about to prove you wrong!

Oh.

Kramer Junction (also known as Kramer Corner) is apparently a wide spot in the road, the intersection of Hwys 58 and 395?  DARN!

Apparently there is no significant oil around, no Oklahoma monuments, Grapes of Wrath statues to all the people whole came from the Dust Bowl area.  There weren't even any gi-normous white vans the size of the retired space shuttles.  Just a whole lot of truck traffic between Las Vegas and Los Ángeles, and Reno.  Gas was a bit cheaper here, but we had a late start, and lunch was awaiting us in Boron.

No Kramers.

Oh well!  We'll see them soon enough anyways at some point.  Meanwhile, we will keep a lookout for this intrepid family, and hopefully we will see them around California at some point.  Keep a lookout while we continue...

Kramer Sighting: May 2011

Very recently, we drove by the old exit to the Kramer Home, and what did we see?...

Belivability Rating: 100%. As you can see, it is their huge white van, right near the road to their "former" house, on Highway 1 in Seaside.

Wait! If they are here right now, why did one of us go to the other side of the continent to visit them?

Well, another dud, tune in soon for the next

Kramer Sighting: Inception Edition!

By now, even the Mendoza Family has seen the movie, "Inception," the movie just about everyone told us that we absolutely had to see!!!

Well, we would have seen in it in the theatre if people had just told us that the Kramers WERE IN IT!

Let's look at the evidence!

As you can see here in exhibit A, as Jack from that other movie, "Titanic" is whining on about Rose and the heart of the Ocean, the Kramer van, otherwise known as the Beast, is clearly visible in the background.

Exhibit B... Here they are again , coming out of an abandoned warehouse. Warehouses seem to be in every movie we watch. There is probably a music video being filmed on the other side of the warehouse.

Here they go in Exhibit C. They've got everyone packed up, shoes or no shoes, and are off to church.

Exhibit D...
It seems they're being pursued by some bad guys. Possibly handing out Jack Chick pamphlets. Nothing can outmanuver villains on motorcycles like the Ford Econline Van! Everybody lean to the left!

Believability Rating: 0%. There is no believability in this, as we saw "Inception" in a dream, so none of this actually happened. "But wait!" you say, "how could it be a dream if you've got pictures?" It means that you are also dreaming right now! Wake up! WAKE UP!!!
WAKE UP!!!!!
Why is the top still spinning???

Kraemer sighting! Wichita, Kansas Edition!

It seems that the Kraemers are ever expanding their reach into every corner of America. Now they are getting into the Media!

Call it the Military-Industrial-Entertainment-Kraemer complex.

So we are just minding our own business, watching TV like mind-numbed Robots, when a piece comes on about visiting the great prairies of Middle-America, when lo and behold, there is a Kraemer, right there on TV, in front of our children. We had to cover the eyes of the two smaller ones.

Let's take a look at the video evidence.

Believability Rating: 78%.
Confidence is high on this one!
First of all, this gentleman works for a station based in the mid-west, where the Kramers are from. In fact there are 7770 people with the last name Kramer in Oklahoma, according to the U.S. Census. They are all related.
It would seem strange that they would have a child who is older than any of them, but they do watch a lot of Star Trek, where time travel is a daily occurrence on the show.
this gentleman also works for a station that has a bureau in SALINA, Kansas, which sounds suspiciously like SALINAS, California. Let's compare the two. Here is a link to the most recent image we could find of Salina, Kansas. Here is one of Salinas, California.
They look similar, don't they? It just could NOT be a coincidence. They used to live near Salinas; this guys works for a station with a bureau in Salina. It is so uncanny, it sends shivers up your spine. Or it could be my fourth meal from Taco Bell trying to come back up.
Don't think that we are fooled by that extra "E" in your name. We knoew thaet you are a KRAMER!
Stay tuned for a strange but true Ulysses sighting in Carmel!

Things To Do In New Hampshire When You're Dead: Bumming Around The House Edition

Well, our vacation was not all fun and games. There were serious moments as well.

Actually...

It was all fun and games!

Here's proof!

Here is some of the gaming. I think at this point, they had just beat "Halo" on the Legendary setting.

Some delicious Barbecue.

Here is something one cannot get in California, Dunkin' Donuts!

Drinking beer wit' my Homies. OK, by myself.

The daughter is warned to keep an eye on her Father, making sure he does not 'act up' too much.

I took this book with me to New Hampshire in hopes that I would learn a little bit about being a Godfather. Let me tell you, I learned NOTHING about the role of a Godfather, and how the role only begins the life-long action of prayer and example.
I did learn that I should have had the enemies of my goddaughter, her parents, and my enemies whacked. At least according to this particular book. Great first two movies, though.

Our host shows off his sweet dance moves.

You can try to imitate, but you cannot beat the original.

Eventually, you just knew I would get punished for something.

Walking around the neighbourhood after dinner.

Teaching one of the kids how to knit. Just keep it up now!

"Yes, my face is funny!"

Did we mention we went apple picking? Here, some of the kids are cooking apple sauce.

Watching some Japanese animation.

So this house comes with yard care, and the gardener comes to fertilize the lawn. Didn't know who he was, or why he was doing what he was doing.

All the way across the continent, and where is the Garlic from?!

Kids love to play street Tennis!

They also like after dinner snacks.

Why, there is even time to build shelves for the schoolbooks.

Evenings are beautiful at this time of year.

There is even time to mess around right before bedtime. Tough love.
I don't thin this little girl has her license yet, but the way she is driving.

Kramer Sighting! Fort Hunter Liggett Edition

That hard to find family has been spotted, this time in southern Monterey County.

Let's go to the evidence...

It seems like they have repainted their white van, although we cannot figure out why. It now appears to be of a beige colour. It also seems heavily armoured, and now has tracks instead of wheels.

Believability Rating: 57%. while this was a reliable sighting, it seems that this was not the Kramers. First of all, why WOULD they need tank treads on their van? Another reason this might NOT be them is that this vehicle seems too small and light-weight to be their huge van. It also appears to get better gas mileage. Is also appears to be an actual tank.

Old School Kramer Sighting! Angry Filipino Edition

It's another edition of Kramer sighting!

Right outside of Sacred Heart, Salinas recently after the Monday Latin Mass, we were surprised to see the old vehicle that used to belong to the Kramers.

Let's take a look!

Well, it looks like their old SUV, and it even seems to be the correct colour.

Believability Rating: 6%. While it was the right colour, this vehicle was a Chevy Suburban and not a GMC Yukon. It also took off around the corner while squealing its tires. Not typical behaviour. It also seems like the driver was a tiny little Filipino Woman. Neither of the Kramer adults is a tiny little Filipino Woman.

We're pretty sure about that.

Kramer Sighting! Florida Edition

It's time for another edition of Kramer sighting!

This time, our roving correspondent went to the Sunshine State, where it only took her 12 hours to get to the Panhandle section, and one in flight scare out of Atlanta!

Let's go to the videotape!

This house certainly looks large enough to house all the Kramers. Plenty of room to do all their laundry and that of Fort Bragg combined. Pretty nice. there is even a HUGE WHITE BUS (yes, it is a bus according to its paperwork) parked in the front. Could this be them? Let's take a closer look....

The interior floor of this particular Bus certainly looks like it is used to haul kids around, and possibly may even be home to tropical amazon life. however, those kids in this particular Bus don't look anything like the Kramer children. They appear to be much too old to be the ones we knew in California. Plus there does not appear to be any boys around.

This Cutie Pie cannot possibly be the youngest Kramer! Although very cute, this young lady is much too big and has WAY too much curly hair to be the one we know. this young lady also seems to be walking very well, while the one we know was not walking too much way back in September.

Believability Rating: 37%. The problems with this sighting, even though this blog went to the expense of sending a correspondent all the way to Florida, here is what is wrong. first all, the house on second thought, does seem a little small to house all 132 Kramers.

Secondly, the children we did get pictures of are too different from the ones we remember. Lastly, the young lady we did get a picture of had really long curly hair, bangs, and was walking just too well to be the Cutie Pie we remember. Plus, no one whacked the correspondent in the knee, hobbling her for life.

So, the search continues, although the trip to Florida was not entirely fruitless. Our correspondent spent nearly a week in the Panhandle of Florida, in the Spring Break capital , and very nearly partied with thousands!

Tune in again sometime later on this week! There are reports Naval Officers have been spotted not just in California, but on the Central Coast, and even at Mission San Juan Bautista!!!

WE WILL FIND YOU, KRAMERS!

Last Year Versus This Year At Bear Gulch Resevoir

Last week onour trip to the Pinnacles, we took this picture of where we had eaten chips. Here is that photo again.

There is still rock going further on down. Had forgotten just how far we had gone in. Here is a picture we took in June of 2009, and you can see just how far the water level had gone down.

No, we are not sure who the other people in the photo are. If anyone can identify who these people are, or their current whereabouts, let us know.

Kramer Sighting of the Week!: December 5th, 2009

America! You have been lied to!

Yes, we all know about Climategate and Obama's 'Health' care stuff.

No, we are talking about the Kramers.

They would like for people to think that they have left the Central Coast of California for the Sunny Clime of Florida.

That is not true.

You are being lied to.

They are in fact still around, and we have seen them! Although we were not able to catch up to them, we did manage to take a picture of their van, and we post it here for your viewing pleasure!

Although this vehicle is way smaller than their van, we are convinced it it them. Their van is in fact classified as a bus, and this one closely matches that description. It is also white in colour, and has those huge mirrors. The grill looks a little bit different, black this time instead of chrome. Maybe they're bombing up their van. You know, getting some custom work done on it. Maybe stretching it. It seems they might have done this. Notice also they have added more windows to the van. Now you can see in every direction! For the absolutely most trick option they have added now to their van is the addition of Port-a-Potties, for those times when you are travelling, and there are no restrooms or rest stops available. You know how kids can get. Aways asking if you are there yet and that they need to got to the rest room. Now there are no worries. Just stop by the side of the road, and hello blue liquid!

Believability Factor: 90%!. Although this is a white bus just the one the Kramers have, there are several things that would lead one to think that this does not belong to them. First of all, There is a Salida de Emergencia on this bus. Why would the Kramers need an emergency exit, and why would they need the sign in Spanish? Secondly, the bus seemed to be full of Mexicans dressed for Field work, and very few of the Kramers are actually Mexicans. Lastly, this bus is way too small for the Kramers. It only has a capacity of 42 people.
Well, here we thought we had sighted them, but alas, this one was too small. We were pretty darn close!

Kramer Sighting of the Week!: November 13th, 2009

Could it be?

While driving to Mass on Monday, we saw what we thought were some new residents of Florida, who not have left California. Ever vigilant with our trusty camera, we snapped some quick photos. This van certainly looked like our perps. Here is the evidence.

Again, it was a white van. Windows were blacked out, so that was starting to be a good sign.

Whey were they turning to go to the south end of Salinas? Could they be missing us so much that they are now house hunting in the '01 side of Salinas? We could certainly hope so.

Believability Rating: 50% Pretty high on this one. The van did indeed turn towards the south of Salinas, it was white and it was a Ford. From there, it started to drop. The driver appeared to have the uniform of the Salinas Police Department. He also looked Filipino. Eddie Kramer appears to be Caucasian, not Filipino. The Van also the insignia of the Salinas Police Department in the door. Also, we seem to see a few of these vans in town. Lastly, we have not been contacted by the Kramers to tell us that have moved back. :(

Well, this week was a bust in one sense. On the other hand, we have learned to keep our camera handy. Tune in next week (or tomorrow!) for another Edition of Kramer Sighting! We're Krazier than those Elvis People!

Kramer Sighting of the Week!: November 10th, 2009

Those wacky, wandering Kramers are at it again!

This time they were sighted by our son, Ramon, who had his trusty camera out, and caught what we believe is a sighting of their van, further proof that they did not really move away.

Here is the evidence....

It was indeed a white van, and it was a rather large one at that. It was spotted Salinas, right near the Pro-life vigils that they used to frequent as well. It was a Ford Make, so there were plenty of factors on our side.

BELIEVABILITY RATING: 74% according to Ramon.
Reasons: Again, rather low. We know what the Kramer's phone number is, and it is not what is painted on the side of this van. The number on the side of this van, went to some Police Athletic league, which strangely enough, is also along the entire side of the van. One would think they would know to put the correct phone number on the side of their own van. Their wheels did not match what we know the Kramer van to have, either. The website on the side of this van also does not go to the Kramer Family website.

What the Kramers should do is put the correct phone number and website address on the side of their van. This would greatly increase the believability rating.

Tune in agian next week for another edition of....

Kramer Sighting! (insert fading echo-y sound effect here).

Kramer sighting of the week! Oct19th 2009

We are beginning to suspect that some people we know are putting one over us.

They have told us and many other people that they have moved away, but we keep on seeing evidence that they in fact have not moved away. Case in point, we keep on seeing their Van. We have now taken to keep a camera close by just in case it is the Kramers.

Here is the latest sighting:

We suspected it was the Kramers. It looked like their Van, and it was near a church. We figured that they were just trying to avoid us so that we would not eat more of their food. We moved in for a closer look.

Sure looked like them!

Then on closer inspection, the driver was Mexican, or at least looked like it, and convincingly. Second of all, why would they be in Watsonville? And why would they have a sign on their van offering to take people to flu clinics?

BELIEVABILITY RATING: 72%. This actually is rather low. What brings this rating down a lot is that the Driver was Mexican. He probably still is, for all we know. Only God in his infinite Wisdom and Knowledge would know for sure.

So this sighting was a bust, but we are sure there will be ample more opportunities to go Kramer Sighting!
